Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae on Sunday called on Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala at latter’s residence.
During the meeting, Koirala said the Nepali people’s lives was becoming difficult by the day due to Indian government’s undeclared border and appealed for immediately lifting the blockade.
On the occasion, the NC President pointed out that the current scenario would tarnish the long standing bilateral relations between the two countries, and that it would not be in the interest of anyone.
He apprised the ambassador of the parties’ efforts in seeking a resolution to the ongoing unrest in Tarai-Madhes and said an agreement would be reached soon. RSS
